Comparison is the Thief of Joy

Ain’t that the truth.

It’s so easy to compare ourselves with others. To think, if only I had those clothes/ job/hair/skin/legs/boobs/abs/paycheck/followers/retweets/repins/likes/comments/friends THEN I’d be happy/successful/beautiful/popular/skinny/satisfied/content/valuable.

I get caught up in it, all people do.

As an avid blog follower, I can get caught up in the lives of others and dream of living theirs and not mine.

We must remember Jeremiah 29:11 which says, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

He has plans for you. That are only for you. Don’t cheapen that gift with comparisons but revel in the value.
